Fine for Britain’s Largest Family, the Radfords, After Children Miss School for £52,000 Disney Trip

The Morecambe-based family, led by parents Sue and Noel Radford, rose to fame on Channel 5’s 22 Kids and Counting and boast more than 530,000 Instagram followers. The holiday was arranged to mark Sue’s 50th birthday in April 2025.

Despite previously admitting they were “feeling the pinch,” the family’s luxury celebration has proved even more costly after fines were issued last week.

At Preston Magistrates’ Court, the couple were found guilty of failing to ensure regular school attendance for four of their children between March 24 and May 1, 2025. Each parent was fined £65 per child, plus £118 in court costs, adding an extra £756 to the already expensive getaway.

During the trip, Sue shared photos on Instagram showing the family posing with Disney characters, including a shot with Donald Duck and another of Sue sporting Minnie Mouse ears.

However, the family faced backlash for leaving daughter Chloe, 29, at home as she prepared to give birth to her second child. The holiday also hit a snag when Millie Radford, 24, and her two children were temporarily stranded at the airport after discovering their ESTA certificates had expired. Noel stayed behind to help them reapply, and they joined the rest of the family in Florida the following day.

The Florida holiday is believed to be their eighth U.S. trip in three years. They’ve also explored the UK and Europe in their £40,000 motorhome, purchased in 2022, and enjoyed luxury breaks in Dubai and the Maldives.

The family previously visited Orlando in April and August 2024, April and August 2023, and April and August 2022.
